What’s Up With You, James Catchpole?
I recently had the pleasure of reading One-Legged Joe, a delightful picture book by Faber & Faber. Karen George’s illustrations bring the story to life, making it a truly immersive experience.
The story follows Joe, a young boy with one leg who just wants to have fun in the playground. He is constantly seen first for his disability, and is fed up of only ever being asked about it. Joe sets out to prove that he is more than his disability and can do anything he puts his mind to.
This book is a great reminder that everyone is capable of achieving their goals, no matter what their circumstances may be. It’s a heartwarming story that will leave readers feeling inspired and uplifted.
I highly recommend One-Legged Joe to readers of all ages. It’s a great way to teach children about acceptance and perseverance, while also providing an enjoyable read. I give it 4 stars!
