Checking Out

We’re welcoming the month with very cold temps and icy conditions but luckily my husband and I worked from home. Granted all day yesterday I’ve been hearing the cracking and breaking of tree branches. We’ve lost some but luckily so far have avoided any major damages. I feel so bad for so many in our city who are without power or have a lot of damages. I remember the experience we had a couple of years ago when we were without power and water for a week! Recapping the Month

I was going to wait until end of day to post this but I don’t see myself finishing another book today so let’s get started on the monthly recap. How’s your year going so far? I completed four books this month and have quite a few in progress. First off, I finished A Winter Away by Elizabeth Fair which gave me an opportunity to read something from Dean Street Press and indie publisher. Checking Out

It’s typical for me to start the new year with books carried over from the previous year but this time, I managed to either finish or DNF books with the exception of Devotions by Mary Oliver. That is an ongoing read that I’ve been enjoying for more than a year now.
